When the article was first published at stuff.co.nz., it was stated that Jewel was a native of Cebu City. So I wrote the author, Mr. Greer McDonald of Fairfax Digital to correct the issue and he immediately did. He was also courteous in asking if any of the members of the family would like to add more about Jewel's details.
